In 2007, Spanish dub techno wizard Pablo Bolivar first teamed up with reggae vocalist Sergio Aphro to form Pulshar, and the results have been positively wonderful. While it may be easy to draw parallels to earlier dub-techno-reggae infusions in the vein of Rhythm & Sound, there's something entirely original to be found here. Deep, richly layered, and surprisingly emotional, Pulshar imparts much-needed human warmth onto dub techno's typically austere palette. If you haven't checked out their 2008 LP 'Brotherhood', I highly recommend doing so - Aphro's soulful vocals submerged under Bolivar's chilled beats and atmospheric textures make for a classic album that will surely sound just as good 10 years from now as it does today.
