Lullatone is a prime example of how special music can be when made by people in love. Shawn James Seymour and Tomida Yoshimi craft melodies so sweetly innocent that one might almost imagine glockenspiel mallets tinkling ever so gently across actual human heartstrings (until, of course, one remembers that the actual sound of such would likely be quite squishy and atonal, and may have quite conceivably already been sampled by Matmos). They've also crafted this addictive little melody maker which is now also a free iPhone app. The Bedtime Beatbox, below, (from the wonderful album The Bedtime Beat) is perhaps one of the most adorable songs I've ever laid ears upon and is guaranteed to restore at least some small measure of childlike wonder in even the most hardened heart. Enjoy.
