Many of you may already be familiar with Baltimore band Beach House, their previous two releases of ethereal, melancholy dreampop having been quite well-received by both critics and the public at large. Their new album, Teen Dream, has definitely taken their signature sound to new heights. Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally deliver pitch-perfect melodies and lyrics, both simultaneously haunting and uplifting. Aided by Chris Coady's expert production, Teen Dream smoothly rides a wave of sweet, wistful emotion from the first chord to the last.
